Inspections
2025 Inspections – Irish Draught & Irish Draught Sport Horses

Do you own an Irish Draught or Irish Draught Sport Horse that is 3 years old or older and want to have it inspected in Canada this fall?  If so, please email us at with the following information:

  • How many horses you have to inspect

  • Your location

  • Whether you’re willing to work with the Society to arrange inspections

  • If you know of others who may be interested in bringing horses for inspection

  • Any questions you may have

  • Note: To ensure inspections are cost-recovered (or close to it), we require a minimum of 5 horses at one venue.

​Irish Draught Registration Rule

The Irish Draught Horse Society of Canada (IDHSC) is dedicated to the preservation of the Irish Draught Horse, a rare breed. In recognition of the endangered status of the breed, the Society actively supports the establishment of a worldwide book for the Purebred Irish Draught and close cooperation among the Irish Draught Horse Societies worldwide (Ireland, United States, Great Britain, Australia, and others)
